Data Networks

FKB Electrical Ltd have experience in many aspects of data network infrastructure solutions, including the design, installation and testing of various structured cabling, optical fibre, and wireless solutions.
Our quality installations are completed with minimum disruption, in accordance with the relevant BS EN standards. Depending on the nature of the job, work can be undertaken 'out of hours' to minimise downtime where nessecary.

Services include:

  • data and voice networks via cat5e (ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B), cat6.
  • additions and changes to existing networks.
  • optical fibre links.
  • data cabinets, enclosures, racks and cable management.
  • PoE - power over ethernet.
  • testing, certification, identification and labeling.
  • fault finding and identification of unidentified outlets.
  • cabinet upgrades and relocations.
  • supply of patch leads.

Optical Fibre

We provide various optical fibre solutions, such as high bandwidth links (between data cabinets), long distance links where copper cabling (max 100m) will not suffice, integration or expansion of exisiting copper/fibre networks, and Fibre to the Desk (FTTD).

Testing and Certificaion

Proper testing is undertaken to ensure high standards of link quality and speed. We provide certification for both new and exisiting fibre and copper links, according to BS EN 50174 parts 1 and 2, and TIA/EIA-568 B.
Test standards include TIA (cat5, cat5e, cat6), ISO (Class D, Class E, and class F) and IEEE (10BaseT, 100BaseT, 1000BaseT, and 1000BASE-LX).
